Husky Puppy training can be very frustrating if you don’t start off on the right foot. I made that mistake when I first got my furry friend and now that I understand a few things about the breed, everything is much easier to deal with.
Here are five tips on husky Puppy training:
Siberian Husky
1. They do not respond well to punishment or scolding. Ignore the bad and reward the good is a very good way to go about this.
2. If they are not getting adequate exercise they will not listen. The husky breed was meant to run for upwards of 10 hours a day, so they have a lot of energy.
3. They are pack dogs. If you do not make it very clear that you are the alpha in the pack, they will not listen to you. If they believe they are the alpha, they are going to expect you to listen to them.
4. Give them a routine they can depend on. dogs will feel secure if they have a routine, just like children. Walk them at the same time every day, train them at the same time, and feed them at the same time.
5. Crate training is, in my opinion, the best way to potty train a Puppy. Using the den instinct of the dog, it will not want to go to the bathroom inside. Make sure that the space in the crate is not too small or too big, it needs to be a comfortable, but snug space in order for crate training to work.
